Valerie Gates spent her life developing a sharp eye for visual storytelling as a Creative Director, Emmy-winning television Art Director and professional photographer in LA and Boston, but these days, she’s happiest with paint under her fingernails. A Woods Hole native who returned home to the salt air, Valerie paints the shifting moods of the Cape Cod coast—from quiet, sunlit marshes to stormy seas. Working in acrylics out of Marshside Studio, she blends expressive textures with a deep love for the quiet magic of the shoreline.
